TAMC Jarret White Road Sewer Replacement

The existing 18” main sewer line that handles all of the wastewater flows from Aliamanu Military Reservation and Tripler Army Medical Center was severely corroded in several locations and needed replacement. The replacement work was split into phases and replacement work started in 2021. Approximately 2,400 linear feet of new 24” diameter C900 PVC pipe was installed along Jarett White Road.

The project faced many challenges such as complicated traffic lane closures on the only access road to the medical center, pipe installation through solid rock, and multi-agency work coordination. The project team also provided updates to two Neighborhood Boards, the Moanalua Valley Association, and adjacent elementary and middle schools.

The average pipe installation depth ranged from 10ft to 25ft. The project included refurbishment of 8 existing manholes and installation of 5 new manholes along Jarrett White Road.
